Points Frog guide

Free calculators for your website

Put any of our 26 money calculators on your blog or site: retirement, mortgages, rent vs buy, car loans, credit card payoff, income percentile and more. Copy one snippet, paste it in, and the calculator sizes itself. No ads, no tracking, no sign-up.

How do I add a calculator to my site?

  1. Pick a calculator

Open the calculator you want from the list on this page.

  2. Copy its embed code

Under the calculator, open “Embed this calculator on your site” and press Copy embed code.

  3. Paste it into your page

Paste the code where the calculator should appear, as HTML. It fills the width it is given and sets its own height.

The code for the retirement calculator looks like this:

<iframe src="https://www.pointsfrog.com/embed/retirement-calculator" title="Retirement calculator by Points Frog" width="100%" height="1200" style="border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy"></iframe>
<p style="font-size:14px"><a href="https://www.pointsfrog.com/retirement-calculator">Retirement calculator</a> by Points Frog</p>
<script async src="https://www.pointsfrog.com/embed.js"></script>

Where do I paste the code?

WordPress
Add a Custom HTML block and paste the code.
Squarespace
Add a Code block, leave it set to HTML, and paste the code.
Webflow
Drag a Code Embed element onto the page and paste the code.
Ghost
Add an HTML card and paste the code.
Blogger
Switch the post editor to HTML view and paste the code where the calculator should go.
Wix
Add Embed Code › Embed HTML and paste the code. Wix puts it in a frame of its own, so drag the box tall enough to fit the calculator.
Any other site
Paste the code into the page's HTML. With several calculators on one page, the script line is only needed once.

Some hosted plans strip out embed code. If the calculator does not appear, check that your plan lets you add custom HTML.

Can I use the calculators in ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Add this address to your AI assistant as a custom connector (an MCP server). It needs no account or key:

https://www.pointsfrog.com/mcp
ChatGPT
Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, press +, choose Add custom MCP server, paste the address, pick No authentication, then create and install it. Custom servers depend on your plan and workspace settings.
Claude
Open Customize › Connectors › Add custom connector, paste the address and choose No sign-in. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it.
Other assistants
Any assistant that supports MCP apps can add the address the same way.

Then ask for a calculator: “show me a car loan calculator”, “where does my income rank in Texas?” or “compare Japan and the United States”. It opens inside the chat, and the numbers you type stay in the calculator; the assistant only learns which calculator it opened. Claude doesn't yet show other sites' pages inside a chat, so there it opens a card that links to the calculator.

Which calculators can I embed?

All 26 of them, plus a points value calculator for every loyalty program in our program directory. Each link opens the calculator at its embed code.

Questions about embedding

Is it free to embed the calculators?

Yes. There is no sign-up, key or fee: copy a calculator's code and paste it into your page. All 26 calculators can be embedded.

Will the embedded calculator show ads or track my readers?

No. Embedded calculators carry no ads and no analytics, and the numbers your readers type stay in their browser; nothing is sent to us.

Will an embedded calculator slow my page down?

Very little. The frame loads only when a reader scrolls near it, and the script that sizes it is under 1 KB.

Can I match the calculator to my site's colors?

It takes the width of the space you put it in and sets its own height. For a dark site, add ?theme=dark to the end of the frame's address (the src in the code).

Do I need to link back to Points Frog?

The code includes a one-line credit linking to the calculator's page. Please keep it: it tells your readers where the calculator comes from and where to find the full explanation.

Can I use these calculators in ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Add https://www.pointsfrog.com/mcp to your AI assistant as a custom connector (MCP server) with no sign-in, then ask for a calculator, such as "show me a mortgage calculator". In ChatGPT it opens inside the chat; in Claude, which doesn't yet show other sites' pages inside a chat, it opens a card that links to the calculator. Your numbers stay in the calculator either way.

Will the calculator stay up to date?

Yes. The embed loads from our site, so when we update a calculator, such as a new average mortgage rate, every embedded copy updates too.
