Citi has added a new perk to its top American Airlines card. As of October 25, 2026, the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard comes with up to $200 a year to spend at restaurants through inKind.

The credit is split into two halves. Cardholders get $100 to use in the first half of the year and another $100 in the second half. The card's annual fee is $695.

How the credit works

The inKind terms for the card lay out the two periods:

  • First half: $100 from 12:00 a.m. CST on January 1 until 4:00 a.m. CST on July 1.
  • Second half: $100 from July 1 until 4:00 a.m. CST on January 1.

Any amount you don't use by the end of a period is gone. It does not roll over. There is also no minimum spend.

The credit is shared by the whole account. That means the primary cardmember and any authorized users draw from the same $100 in each period. It is not $100 per person.

If you become eligible partway through a period, you still get the full $100 for that period. For current cardholders, that means the first $100 is available now and must be used by the end of 2026.

How to use it

inKind is a dining app that works with independent restaurants. Its terms set out three steps:

  1. Add the credit to your inKind wallet.
  2. Pay with your AAdvantage Executive card at a restaurant in the inKind network.
  3. Apply the credit to the bill.

You don't have to spend it all at once. The credit can be split across more than one meal until it runs out.

The Points Guy reports that inKind has more than 10,000 venues in the U.S. It also says the credit can't be combined with inKind Cash on the same bill.

The fine print

There are a few limits to know before you head out to eat:

  • The credit can't be used for tips.
  • Taxes may be charged separately.
  • It can't be turned into cash.
  • Blackout dates and merchant exclusions apply.

Because tips are not covered, plan to pay the tip with your card on top of the credit.

What Citi says

Citi told The Points Guy the credit is here to stay. "Dining is core to how we see our cardholders engaging," said Courtney Joseph of Citi. Joseph also called the credit a "permanent part of the value proposition."

How it fits the card

The AAdvantage Executive card had a refresh in August. PointsYeah notes that the annual fee went up from $595 to $695 at that time. A new dining credit gives cardholders one more way to offset that higher fee.

How much the credit is worth depends on you. If you already eat at restaurants in the inKind network, $200 a year is close to cash back. If none of your local spots take part, it may be hard to use. Check the inKind app for restaurants near you before you count on it.

The credit follows another change to Citi's American Airlines cards. Frequent Miler reported on October 21 that the $180 yearly Turo credit on the Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select card has been made permanent.
