Chase Ultimate Rewards members can now get 30% more Avios when they move points to British Airways, Iberia or Aer Lingus. The offer started at 12 a.m. Eastern on Nov. 1, 2026, and runs through 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Dec. 1, 2026, according to One Mile at a Time.
The normal rate is one Chase point for one Avios. With the bonus, 1,000 Chase points become 1,300 Avios.
The key terms
Chase did not put out a press release for this offer. The terms below come from reports by One Mile at a Time and AwardWallet, which say the bonus shows on Chase's own transfer page.
- Partners: British Airways Club, Iberia Club and Aer Lingus AerClub.
- Bonus: 30%, so the ratio is 1:1.3.
- Dates: Nov. 1 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Dec. 1, 2026.
- Minimum: 1,000 points, then steps of 1,000 points, per AwardWallet.
- Speed: Transfers are usually instant, both outlets say.
One Mile at a Time says Chase runs an Avios bonus like this about once or twice a year, usually at 20% to 30%. It called this the biggest percentage bonus it has seen so far in 2026.
Why three programs matter
Avios is the points currency of several airlines owned by or tied to IAG, the parent of British Airways and Iberia. You can move Avios between these programs. That means a transfer to British Airways or Iberia can also feed a booking with Qatar Airways Privilege Club or Finnair Plus, as both outlets point out.
This makes the bonus wider than it looks. You are not locked into British Airways flights, which often carry high fees on awards to and from London.
What the bonus can book
The outlets give a few examples. These are their prices, not guarantees, and award space is never certain.
Aer Lingus to Ireland. AwardWallet says off-peak economy seats from the East Coast to Ireland can cost 13,000 Avios each way, plus taxes and fees. With the bonus, that takes 10,000 Chase points. It says business class starts at 50,000 Avios from the East Coast. That is about 39,000 Chase points with the bonus, since transfers go in steps of 1,000.
JetBlue Mint through Qatar. One Mile at a Time says Qatar Airways Privilege Club can book JetBlue Mint across the Atlantic for 78,000 Avios. With a 30% bonus, that is 60,000 Chase points.
Qatar Airways business class. One Mile at a Time notes that Qatar makes most of its business class award space available only to members who book with Avios. That makes Avios the main way to book Qsuite with points.
Before you move points
Bank transfers to airlines are one way. You cannot send Avios back to Chase. AwardWallet's advice is plain: don't move points until you have a plan and have seen the award seat you want.
If points do end up sitting in an Avios account, AwardWallet says British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and Qatar Avios do not expire unless the account has 36 months with no activity. Finnair is stricter, at 18 months.
A few more checks help:
- Search for the seat first, in the program where you plan to book.
- Look at taxes and fees, not just the Avios price.
- Remember that moving Avios between programs is a separate step after the Chase transfer.
How it compares
This offer follows a 20% Capital One bonus to British Airways that ended Oct. 31. If you hold both kinds of points, the Chase deal is now the larger bonus to Avios.
The real test is the trip you want. A 30% bonus means a 13,000-Avios seat costs 10,000 Chase points instead of 13,000. That is a solid saving if the seat is there. It does nothing if you never use the Avios.
