Capital One announced a limited-time welcome offer for new Venture X Business cardholders on October 20, 2026, as part of the card's third-anniversary celebration. Capital One says the offer is worth up to $4,300 in travel value.
The offer
According to Capital One's release on Business Wire:
- 150,000 bonus miles (Capital One values them at $1,500) after spending $40,000 in the first four months
- Another 150,000 miles ($1,500) plus a $1,000 Capital One Business Travel credit after spending $120,000 in the first four months
- The card's regular $300 annual Capital One Business Travel credit on top
That adds up to 300,000 miles and $1,300 in travel credits. Capital One counts that as $4,300 in value.
Existing cardholders have their own offer, which started September 30: a $500 Capital One Business Travel credit after $3,000 in Capital One Business Travel bookings by December 15, 2026.
What the card includes
- Unlimited 2X miles on every purchase
- 10X on hotels and rental cars, and 5X on flights and vacation rentals, booked through Capital One Business Travel
- A fourth night free at select Premier and Lifestyle Collection hotels on stays of four or more nights booked through Capital One Business Travel
- $300 annual travel credit and a 10,000-mile anniversary bonus
- Complimentary access to Capital One Lounges and Capital One Landings
- No preset spending limit
- $395 annual fee
Doing the math
Capital One values each tier of 150,000 miles at $1,500, or one cent per mile. At the first tier, $40,000 of spending earns at least 80,000 miles at the base 2X rate, plus the 150,000-mile bonus. That's at least 230,000 miles in total. At the full $120,000, base earning adds at least 240,000 miles on top of the 300,000 bonus miles. Spending booked through Capital One Business Travel earns more, at 5X or 10X.
Capital One says the offer gives cardholders more room to use the 10X earning rate on Business Travel bookings "through the end of 2026 and into 2027."
Who it's for
The spending requirements are much higher than on a typical card. $40,000 in four months is about $10,000 a month, and the full bonus requires about $30,000 a month. It only makes sense for businesses that already spend that much and can put it on the card without paying more for anything.
For businesses that can, CNBC called it more valuable than any previous offer for this card, in coverage shared on X. The miles can also be transferred to Capital One's airline and hotel partners. Capital One currently has a 30% bonus to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red through November 20, according to The Points Guy's transfer bonus tracker.
What people are saying on X
Points bloggers covered it quickly:
Miles to Memories and Danny the Deal Guru also wrote it up. A reply in an Amex thread said one high spender had already moved spending from Amex to the Venture X and Venture X Business.
The Points Frog take
This is a large bonus aimed at a small group of businesses. If yours spends six figures a quarter, the 150,000-mile first tier alone is a strong return for a $395 card, and Capital One Lounge access is a plus. Capital One hasn't published an end date, so if you qualify, don't wait too long.
