Wyndham adds 40-plus Elegant Hotels of the World properties to Registry Collection
A new deal with HotelREZ brings small luxury hotels in Mykonos, Malta, Thailand and beyond into Wyndham Rewards, with the first ones joining this week.

Wyndham Rewards members are getting a batch of small luxury hotels to earn and burn points at. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced on Nov. 2, 2026, that more than 40 hotels from HotelREZ's Elegant Hotels of the World collection will join its Registry Collection Hotels brand by early next year, according to its press release.
The first hotels are joining this week. Wyndham says they are bookable at WyndhamHotels.com/Elegant.
Who is HotelREZ?
HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts is a hotel representation company founded in 2004 by Mark Lewis. It runs Elegant Hotels of the World, which the release describes as a collection of more than 300 independent luxury and design-led hotels. It also runs Best Loved Hotels, a collection of upscale independents.
Under the deal, Elegant hotels that join Registry Collection will stay members of Elegant Hotels of the World. They will also become part of Wyndham Rewards and plug into Wyndham's sales, marketing and booking channels.
Wyndham says many of the incoming hotels are small boutiques averaging between 20 and 50 rooms each.
The first hotels joining
Wyndham named six hotels among the first to join this week:
| Hotel | Location | What Wyndham highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Rosselli AX Privilege | Valletta, Malta | 17th-century palazzo, MICHELIN Key hotel |
| The TownHouse Mykonos | Mykonos, Greece | Adults-only, 18th-century manor house |
| Galgorm Resort | Near Belfast, Northern Ireland | AA Five-Star resort with thermal spa |
| TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao | Koh Yao Noi, Thailand | Adults-only, private plunge pools |
| Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique | Cartagena, Colombia | Restored colonial hotel, MICHELIN Key |
| Roe Valley Resort | Near Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland | Four-star retreat with 18-hole golf |
The release says Rosselli is Malta's only hotel to hold three MICHELIN distinctions under one roof: a MICHELIN Key for the hotel, a MICHELIN Star for its Under Grain restaurant and a Bib Gourmand for Grain Street.
Why it matters for Wyndham Rewards members
Wyndham Rewards is best known for economy and midscale brands like Super 8, Days Inn and La Quinta. Its luxury options have been thin. The Registry Collection brand spans more than 30 hotels in nine countries today, per the release. Adding 40-plus hotels would more than double it.
Wyndham says its program has about 129 million enrolled members.
"As Wyndham grows, so do the aspirations of our Wyndham Rewards members," said Scott Strickland, Wyndham's chief commercial officer. He said members "want their points to take them to places that feel as special as the moments they're celebrating."
Mark Lewis, HotelREZ's group CEO, said the deal is "about unlocking commercial opportunities for our member hotels."
What we don't know yet
The release does not say how many points these hotels will cost per night, or what elite benefits will apply. Wyndham Rewards uses tiered award pricing, so check the price for your dates on Wyndham's site before you plan around a specific property.
It also isn't clear which other Elegant hotels will join next. Wyndham says more will be added "subject to brand fit, owner participation and onboarding requirements."
A second, looser deal for Best Loved Hotels
Wyndham and HotelREZ are also creating a separate model for hotels in the Best Loved Hotels collection. Those hotels can get selective access to Wyndham's technology, including Wyndham Connect and Wyndham AI Concierge, and to its third-party booking channels. Wyndham says this structure launches later this year.
The release doesn't say whether Best Loved Hotels will join Wyndham Rewards.
Our take
This is good news for Wyndham Rewards members who want something more special than a roadside hotel. Wyndham points are easy to earn from its own stays and from transfer partners, but high-end places to spend them have been scarce.
Small hotels in Mykonos, Malta and Thailand will likely sell out quickly in peak season. Award pricing will decide how much value these hotels really add.
