Indianapolis is getting a big new Hilton convention hotel, and you can already book it. According to Hilton's announcement on October 6, 2026, Signia Hilton Indianapolis opens in December, with reservations available for stays from December 9, 2026.

The hotel has 803 rooms and will be the tallest hotel in the city. It is part of Hilton Honors, and Hilton says rooms can be booked on Hilton.com or the Hilton Honors app.

Built for conventions

Signia is Hilton's brand for large meetings and events hotels. This one sits on the Georgia Street pedestrian promenade downtown. A skywalk links it to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.

The hotel has about 100,000 square feet of event space, including a 50,000-square-foot ballroom. That size means big conventions will fill it at times, which can drive up both cash and points prices on those dates.

Where to eat and drink

Hilton worked with StiR Creative Collective on the food and drink. Executive Chef Dwayne Krisko and Director of Food and Beverage Kyle Wright lead the program. The concepts include:

  • Torchlight, a two-story rooftop cocktail lounge on the 38th floor.
  • Rosewater's, the lobby bar.
  • Heartwood, a modern American grill.
  • Slipstream, a café, espresso bar and market.
  • Deck on 5, a seasonal rooftop pool deck.
  • Club Signia, a premium lounge.

A third-party upscale restaurant is planned for summer 2027.

"Bringing Signia Hilton to Indianapolis represents a meaningful milestone for the brand's continued growth in the Midwest," said Brian Abel, Hilton's senior vice president of food and beverage for the Americas.

Points or cash

Hilton prices Standard Room Rewards by date. At a convention hotel, that matters more than usual. A night during a big show or a stadium event can cost far more, in cash and in points, than a quiet weekend.

If you are going for a conference, your group rate may beat the public rate. Check with the event organizer whether the group block earns Hilton Honors points. If you are going for a game or a weekend away, search a few dates. A slow weekend could be a good time to use points here.

Club Signia is worth a look if you have Hilton elite status. Lounge access rules differ by brand and status, so check what your tier includes at this hotel before you count on it.

Hilton Honors elite members who book five nights on points may get the fifth night free, under the program's rules. Book through Hilton directly so the stay counts.

Getting there on miles

My take

A new 803-room Hilton downtown, tied by skywalk to the convention center and the stadium, will be useful for event trips. I would avoid using points on big convention dates and look for quiet weekends instead. If the price is right, the rooftop lounge alone makes it a fun stay.
