Rove Miles earn 50% extra at JAL and 40% at Flying Blue through October 31

Rove Miles move to JAL Mileage Bank at 1:1.5 and to Flying Blue at 1:1.4 until 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 31, 2026. Search for award space before you transfer.

Transfer bonuses · By Patrick Karsh ·

Rove is paying two large transfer bonuses for the rest of October. Rove Miles moved to Japan Airlines get 50% extra, and Rove Miles moved to Air France-KLM Flying Blue get 40% extra. Both offers end on October 31, 2026.

Rove is a rewards app, not a bank. Members earn Rove Miles by booking travel and shopping through Rove, and the miles transfer to airline and hotel programs. Rove says it does not require a travel credit card.

The JAL bonus

According to Rove's announcement of the JAL bonus, the offer runs from 6:00 a.m. EDT on October 1 to 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 31, 2026. Rove Miles normally move to JAL Mileage Bank at 1:1. During the offer, every 1,000 Rove Miles become 1,500 JAL miles.

Rove's post says JAL flights between the US and Japan start at 27,000 miles in economy and 55,000 miles in business class. It also notes that JAL uses dynamic pricing, so the miles needed can change with demand. With the bonus, a 55,000-mile business award would need about 36,700 Rove Miles instead of 55,000.

JAL miles can also be used on partner airlines. Rove lists oneworld members, Emirates, British Airways and Air France among them. Our JAL Mileage Bank page has more on how we value the miles.

The Flying Blue bonus

Rove's Flying Blue post gives the same window, from 6:00 a.m. EDT on October 1 to 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 31. The normal rate is 1:1, so 1,000 Rove Miles become 1,400 Flying Blue miles with the bonus.

Rove gives a sample award from Phoenix to Paris at 25,000 Flying Blue miles. With the bonus, that takes about 17,900 Rove Miles. Flying Blue changes its award prices often, so treat that as an example and check your own dates.

Rove is not the only source with a Flying Blue bonus right now. HSBC's US site lists a 20% bonus on points converted to Flying Blue from October 1 to October 31, 2026. American Express is running a 25% bonus to Flying Blue as well, which we covered earlier this month. If you hold more than one of these currencies, compare which pile you can spare.

Rules that apply to both

Rove says completed transfers are final and cannot be refunded. It also says it does not guarantee award space with its partners. That makes the order of steps important:

  1. Search for the award on JAL or Flying Blue first.
  2. Note the exact miles and the cash taxes and fees.
  3. Divide the miles by 1.5 for JAL or 1.4 for Flying Blue.
  4. Move only that amount, plus a small buffer.
  5. Book as soon as the miles arrive.

Rove has a third October offer, a tiered bonus of up to 35% on transfers to Qatar Airways Privilege Club. That one pays 15%, 25% or 35% based on the size of each transfer.

Where this fits

Points Frog lists live offers on its transfer bonus page. You can also see our Flying Blue page for how we value the miles. Rove does not have a page of its own on Points Frog yet.

Rove has run a smaller Flying Blue bonus before, at 20%. There is no promise that either offer will return at this size. If you have Rove Miles and a trip to Japan or Europe in mind, October is a good month to use them.

My take

I would move Rove Miles only for an award I can see and book today. Fifty percent extra to JAL is a big boost, but JAL's prices move with demand, so the bonus is only worth something if the seats are there. Search first, then transfer.
