The offer
Marriott Bonvoy's global promotion for the fall of 2026 is live under the name More at Resorts, promotion code WL26. Registered members earn 1,500 bonus points for every paid stay of two or more consecutive nights at a participating hotel, and an additional 3,000 points, for 4,500 in total, when that stay is at a property on Marriott's resort list. There is no cap on the number of stays.
The earning window covers nights completed between September 22 and November 22, 2026. Registration opened on September 9 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on November 13 through the promotion page or the Promotions tab in your account. You must register before the stay is completed; stays finished before you register do not count, though a stay booked earlier and completed after registration does.
What counts and what does not
The two-night minimum is the rule that trips people up. A single night earns nothing, however expensive. Two consecutive nights under one reservation at a Qualifying Rate, booked through Marriott's own channels, earn the 1,500. Homes & Villas stays earn the 1,500 but not the resort bonus.
The exclusions are the usual ones. Award stays, Free Night Awards and Cash + Points do not qualify. Most online travel agency and third-party rates are out. So are stays at BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at the vacation clubs. Members who have chosen to earn airline miles instead of points are not eligible. One room per property per stay earns.
Posting takes time. The 1,500 should appear within 10 business days of checkout; the resort bonus can take up to eight weeks after the promotion ends, which puts it in mid-January. Bonus points do not count toward elite status.
Is it worth planning around
Not really, and that is the honest reading. At our working value of about 0.7 cents per Bonvoy point, 1,500 points is roughly $10 and 4,500 is about $30. The spring 2026 global promotion paid 2,500 points per stay with no minimum and added bonus elite nights, so this is a step down. Frequent Miler and Traveling for Miles reached the same conclusion: register, because it costs nothing, but do not book a stay to chase it.
Where it does add up is a resort trip you were taking anyway. A five-night Thanksgiving-week stay at a Marriott resort earns 4,500 bonus points on top of base points, and if you split it into two reservations of two and three nights, Marriott's terms count them as two stays, which doubles the bonus. That is a legitimate reading of "per stay," though the front desk may merge the reservations, so ask before you count on it.
Compared with the competition
Marriott's rivals are running richer fall promotions. Hyatt pays 3,000 points for every three nights, award nights included, through December 15. IHG pays double or triple points from the second stay through December 31. Hilton pays 1,000 to 3,000 points per stay, with no minimum nights, through December 31. We have covered each of those separately. If you have no brand loyalty and a choice of hotels for a two-night trip, Marriott's offer is the one you can ignore.
Register anyway
Registration takes a minute and some members have reported the button failing on the promotion page. If it does, use the Promotions tab in the app or call Marriott and ask to be registered for WL26. Then forget about it until the points post.
