JetBlue is making its TrueBlue loyalty program more generous for 2027. The biggest change is complimentary, space-available upgrades to BlueFirst, JetBlue's new domestic first class, for every Mosaic elite level.
JetBlue announced the changes on Oct. 22, 2026. They take effect on Feb. 1, 2027.
BlueFirst upgrades for every Mosaic member
According to JetBlue's press release, members at every Mosaic level will be eligible for complimentary, space-available upgrades to BlueFirst for the first time. Up to one traveling companion on the same reservation is also eligible. Upgrades apply when traveling on eligible fares.
JetBlue Premier Cardmembers can also get space-available upgrades when they use their Premier Card to book eligible fares.
This is a big shift for lower-tier elites. Complimentary upgrades are a core perk at larger U.S. airlines. JetBlue is now offering the same type of benefit on its new first-class product.
Upgrade certificates for Mint or BlueFirst
Move to Mint certificates are being renamed Premium Upgrade Certificates. Eligible members can use them for Mint or BlueFirst seats, where available.
Mosaic 2 members can pick one certificate through Perks You Pick. Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4 members will keep getting certificates as part of their benefits. Mosaic 4 members can also earn more certificates for every 100 additional Tiles earned.
Perks by Mosaic level
JetBlue published its 2027 Perks You Pick options by level. Members pick one benefit at each eligible milestone:
- Mosaic 1: a 10,000-point bonus, a 10-Tile bonus, a 10-Tile head start or one BlueHouse Lounge pass
- Mosaic 2: the same options as Mosaic 1, plus one Premium Upgrade Certificate
- Mosaic 3: a 20,000-point bonus, a 20-Tile bonus, a 20-Tile head start, one BlueHouse Lounge pass or one Premium Upgrade Certificate
- Mosaic 4: a 30,000-point bonus, a 30-Tile head start, one BlueHouse Lounge pass, one Premium Upgrade Certificate, the ability to gift Mosaic 3 status or the ability to gift a BlueHouse Lounge Membership
Starting in 2027, members can reselect a favorite perk at later milestones instead of choosing each perk only once. They will have 60 days after reaching each milestone to choose.
New perks for JetBlue Premier Cardmembers
Premier Cardmembers get their own set of exclusive perks at each Mosaic level:
- Mosaic 1: gift a 10-Tile bonus
- Mosaic 2: gift Mosaic 1 status
- Mosaic 3: gift Mosaic 2 status, or a companion travel benefit of up to $500
- Mosaic 4: a companion travel benefit of up to $1,500
The companion benefit is for primary Premier Cardmembers. It comes as a statement credit toward an eligible companion booking made with the Premier Card.
Premier Cardmembers who reach Mosaic 3 or Mosaic 4 also earn an extra 3x points at eligible grocery stores and restaurants. That makes 5x TrueBlue points per $1 in total, on up to $50,000 in combined eligible purchases each calendar year.

"TrueBlue is built around our customers, and we've continued to evolve the program by listening to the members who fly us most," said Ed Pouthier, vice president of loyalty and personalization at JetBlue, in the release.
What this means for you
If you hold any level of Mosaic, 2027 looks better. BlueFirst upgrades for all four levels, plus a companion, are a real upgrade over today's program. How often they clear will depend on how many first-class seats are left on each flight, and JetBlue has not shared clearing rules beyond "space-available."
The Premier Card also becomes more useful for high-tier members. The 5x on grocery and dining and the companion credits add clear value at Mosaic 3 and 4.
