Points Frog guide

Points moved into Etihad Guest from Accor, Shangri-La Circle, Revolut, HSBC and others earn a 10% to 40% bonus through October 31.

Etihad Guest is paying extra miles this month to members who move points in from its partner programs. According to Etihad's Global Bonus Campaign page, transfers made from October 1 to October 31, 2026, earn a bonus of 10%, 20% or 40%, depending on how many miles the transfer is worth.

The window opens at 00:00 and closes at 23:59 Abu Dhabi time (UTC+4). For US readers, that means the offer ends at 3:59 p.m. Eastern time on October 31.

The three bonus tiers

Etihad sets the bonus by the value of the points transferred, counted in Etihad Guest miles:

  • Up to 9,999 miles: 10% bonus.
  • 10,000 to 49,999 miles: 20% bonus.
  • 50,000 miles or more: 40% bonus.

At the top tier, a transfer worth 50,000 miles earns 20,000 bonus miles. The page does not say whether the tier applies to each transfer or to your total for the month. If you plan to cross a threshold, do it in one transfer to be safe.

The bonus does not post right away. Etihad says bonus miles arrive within 30 business days after the campaign ends. Base miles follow each partner's normal timing.

Which partners count

The page lists the participating programs, mostly hotel groups, banks and shopping programs. They include ALL-Accor Live Limitless, Shangri-La Circle, Revolut, HSBC, Livelo, Flipkart SuperCoins, Ping An WanLiTong, Smiles by e&, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Emirates NBD, Mashreq, RAKBANK, Al Rajhi Bank and Kuwait Finance House, among others. The page says "HSBC" without naming a country, so check that your own HSBC program is the one taking part.

The big US card programs are not among the partners named on the page. If you hold American Express, Chase, Citi, Capital One or Bilt points, this campaign does not appear to cover you.

Transfer rates vary by partner. The only one shown on the page is Ajman Bank, where 1,000 MORE rewards become 909 Etihad Guest miles. Look up your own program's rate before you do the math, since the tiers are based on miles, not on the points you send.

Rules to know

Etihad lists a few terms. You need a valid Etihad Guest number, and you are responsible for typing it in correctly. Transfers cannot be reversed. The offer cannot be combined with other offers. The program's usual transfer terms still apply, and Etihad can change or end the promotion at any time.

The best case for this bonus is an Accor or Shangri-La member with a balance they rarely use. Points that sit unused do nothing for you, and a 40% top-up can turn them into a useful airline balance. Still, check that the miles will buy something you want. Our Etihad Guest page shows how we value the miles, and the transfer bonus page lists other current offers.

My take

I would use this only with a specific Etihad Guest award in view. The 40% tier is generous, but it rewards big transfers, and those are hard to undo. Search the award first, then move just enough to land in the tier you need.
