Bilt has announced its program changes for 2027. The headline is a new daily rewards game tied to rent payments and neighborhood spending. But the changes to Bilt Cash and card credits may matter more to everyday members.
Bilt published the updates on its newsroom on Oct. 27, 2026. Here is what is changing and when.
Daily Rewards launch Jan. 15, 2027
Starting Jan. 15, 2027, Bilt members can earn a Daily Reward in two ways. Each on-time rent or mortgage payment earns one. So does one qualifying neighborhood activity per day, such as a meal, a fitness class or a ride.
Each Daily Reward reveals two rewards, and you pick one. Bilt lists grand prizes that include $1,000,000 toward a home, 10,000,000 Bilt Points, a year of free rent or mortgage payments, a year of free Lyft rides and a dream getaway. Bilt says full prize details and official rules will be posted before Jan. 15.
Bilt also says point earnings for Bilt cardholders are not changing.
Bilt Cash now lasts 12 months
Bilt Cash used to face a year-end deadline. Under the update, Bilt Cash expires at the end of the month, 12 months after you earn it. There is no longer a year-end expiration or rollover.
Bilt gives this example: $100 in Bilt Cash earned in February 2026 expires on Feb. 28, 2027.
Hotel redemptions with Bilt Cash move to twice a year
Starting Jan. 1, 2027, Bilt Cash hotel redemptions change from monthly to twice a year. The amount per redemption depends on status:
- Blue and Silver: up to $50 each time, or $100 a year
- Gold and Platinum: up to $100 each time, or $200 a year
- Eligible Palladium members: up to $200 each time, or $400 a year
Bilt says members keep earning $50 in Bilt Cash for every 25,000 Bilt Points earned.
New perks for elite members
Gold and Platinum members can redeem points at checkout for Bilt's Home Away from Home hotels in 2027. Bilt is also adding rental car status matches:
- Platinum members get SIXT ONE Platinum and Hertz President's Circle
- Gold and Silver members get SIXT ONE Gold and Hertz Five Star
Changes for Bilt cardholders
Card product upgrades are now live in the Bilt app.
At your card anniversary, every cardholder earns up to 1.25X on rent and mortgage payments. Bilt is retiring "Flexible Bilt Cash" mode, which earns 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spend. Bilt says cardholders who want to keep that mode can opt out of the new benefits in card settings before their card anniversary.
Annual credits are also being reshaped:
- Palladium cardholders: the $200 Bilt Cash credit and $400 hotel credit become a single $600 Bilt Cash credit
- Obsidian cardholders: the $100 hotel credit becomes $100 in Bilt Cash
Annual credits will be deposited on your card anniversary instead of Jan. 1. Obsidian and Palladium cardholders on the new benefits can still redeem Bilt Cash for Point Accelerator.
What this means for you
The Daily Rewards game is the flashy part. But the grand prizes are a lottery. Most members will see smaller rewards, and Bilt has not yet posted the odds or full rules.
The practical wins are on the Bilt Cash side. A rolling 12-month expiration is easier to manage than a hard year-end deadline. Palladium cardholders also get more flexibility, since a single $600 Bilt Cash credit can be used more widely than a hotel-only credit.
The trade-off is fewer hotel redemptions. Moving from monthly to twice a year means fewer chances to use Bilt Cash on hotels. If you planned to put Bilt Cash toward hotel stays, check your status tier and limits first.
If you use Flexible Bilt Cash mode today, mark your card anniversary. You need to opt out of the new benefits before that date to keep it.
