How to use Points Frog embeds
Put live Points Frog content on your own website for free, with a visible credit and a link back to the original page. Browse the embeds available on this site.
Get the code and add it
- Find the Embed button. It sits next to everything you can embed: calculators, lounge cards, seat maps, route maps, ship maps, travel maps and news feeds. The embed catalog has one beside every item too.
- Press Embed. A popup opens.
- Sign in with a free account if you are not signed in already. You need an account to see the code, so each embed is yours and counts its own views. Your visitors never need an account.
- Press Copy HTML. The code has three parts: a frame, a one-line credit link, and a small script that sets the frame's height.
- Paste it into an HTML or embed block on your website, save, and check the published page on a computer and a phone.
- Keep the credit link visible so readers can find the original page.
Open the popup on the same item again later and you get the same code, with its view count so far. Each item you embed has its own code and its own count.
Where to paste it in your site builder
- WordPress: use a Custom HTML block.
- Squarespace: use a Code block with HTML selected.
- Webflow: use a Code Embed element.
- Ghost: use an HTML card.
- Blogger: switch the post editor to HTML view.
- Wix: use Embed Code, then Embed HTML, and make the box tall enough.
- Other websites: paste the code into the page HTML. Your platform must allow iframes, and some plans block custom scripts. With several embeds on one page, the script line is only needed once.
See your embed views
The Embed popup shows how many times your embed has been loaded. Press Embed on the same item while signed in to see the latest number. The count includes repeat visits and your own previews. It is not a count of unique visitors, and it is not audited advertising data. Nothing your readers type into an embed is sent to us.
Older embed codes copied before sign-in was needed still work, but they have no view count. To start counting, replace them with the code from the popup.
Updates and source credit
Embeds load from Points Frog, so they update on their own when our data changes. News feeds show the latest stories with links to the full articles. A travel map keeps the countries that were selected when you opened its popup. To change them, update your map and get the code again.
Keep both the credit inside the embed and the link below it. The credit helps readers find the source; it does not guarantee search-engine ranking credit.
If something does not look right
- The code shows as text: use an HTML or Code block instead of a text block.
- The frame is blank: open Preview in the popup, check that your builder allows iframes, and try again after saving the page.
- Content is cut off: make your builder's embed box taller. Interactive content may scroll inside the frame.
- The view count does not change: make sure the published page uses the code from the popup, then load it with the embed in view and reopen the popup.
- The popup keeps asking you to sign in: allow sign-in pop-ups and cookies for Points Frog, then press Embed again.
