Points Frog's [lounge access calculator](https://www.pointsfrog.com/lounge-access-calculator) compares the yearly cost of day passes, the three US Priority Pass plans and a card that includes Priority Pass.\n\nAt a $60 day pass, a solo traveler's cheapest choice is day passes up to 3 visits a year. Priority Pass Standard is cheapest from 4 visits, Standard Plus from 7 and Prestige from 15. The Priority Pass prices are the US prices listed on October 18, 2026.\n\n[Try the calculator on Points Frog](https://www.pointsfrog.com/lounge-access-calculator)\n\n## What each option costs\n\nStandard costs $99 a year plus $35 for each visit. Standard Plus costs $329 a year with 10 free member visits, then $35 a visit. Prestige costs $469 a year, and every member visit is free. Guests pay $35 a visit on all three plans.\n\nDay passes at US lounges that sell them usually run $45 to $79 per person. The Escape Lounge in Minneapolis charges $45 booked online, or $60 at the door. A United Club one-time pass is $59, an Alaska Lounge pass is $65 and an American Admirals Club One-Day Pass is $79. Delta has not sold Sky Club day passes since November 2018.\n\n## A worked example\n\nTake one traveler with no guests and $60 day passes. This is what a year costs at each number of visits, set against the cheapest Priority Pass plan.","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"},{"role":"htmltable","html":"<table><tr><th>Visits a year</th><th>Day passes</th><th>Cheapest plan</th></tr><tr><td>2</td><td>$120</td><td>Standard, $169</td></tr><tr><td>4</td><td>$240</td><td>Standard, $239</td></tr><tr><td>6</td><td>$360</td><td>Standard, $309</td></tr><tr><td>8</td><td>$480</td><td>Standard Plus, $329</td></tr><tr><td>12</td><td>$720</td><td>Standard Plus, $399</td></tr><tr><td>15</td><td>$900</td><td>Prestige, $469</td></tr><tr><td>20</td><td>$1,200</td><td>Prestige, $469</td></tr></table>","layout":"text"},{"role":"body","format":"markdown","text":"At 4 visits, Standard edges out day passes by $1. At 14 visits, Standard Plus and Prestige both cost $469.\n\n## What moves the answer\n\nThe day-pass price sets the bar. Each plan starts to cost less than day passes at 4, 6 and 8 visits a year when a pass is $60. If your lounge charges $45, Standard needs 10 visits to win. At $79, it wins from 3.\n\nGuests change how soon a plan pays off, but not which plan is cheapest. They pay $35 a visit on every plan, while each guest would also need a day pass. Bring one guest each time and Standard, Standard Plus and Prestige beat day passes from 2, 4 and 6 visits.\n\nA card can cost less than any plan if you would use its credits anyway. The Capital One Venture X has a $395 annual fee and a $300 Capital One Travel credit. Net of the credit, that is $95 a year with free Priority Pass visits for the primary cardholder, less than Standard's $99 fee alone. Since February 1, 2026, each Venture X guest pays $35 a visit. The Chase Sapphire Reserve costs $795 with a $300 travel credit, or $495 net, and lets in up to 2 guests free. For comparison, Prestige with one guest on 10 visits would cost $819.\n\nThe calculator's card fields start with the Venture X terms. You can enter any card's fee, the credits you would use and how many guests it lets in free.\n\n## What the calculator leaves out\n\nIt leaves out a card's other rewards and costs, Priority Pass restaurant and spa benefits, and lounges outside the Priority Pass network. Standard Plus's 10 free visits are listed as member visits, so the calculator charges for guests from the first visit.\n\nA pass is not a promise of a seat. Priority Pass access depends on space, and Admirals Club day passes may be limited when lounges are busy. United Club one-time passes work only within three hours of departure, except on a connection. Alaska Lounge passes are valid only at the lounge where you buy them.\n\n## Where the figures come from\n\nPriority Pass prices are from prioritypass.com, checked October 18, 2026. Day-pass prices and the Capital One and Chase card terms were checked the same day. Priority Pass says its network has more than 1,900 lounges and experiences. Lounge Frog's directory lists 838 open lounges that accept it.\n\n## Use it on your own site\n\nThe calculator is free to embed on a blog or site with copy-and-paste code, with no ads or tracking.
