Frequent Miler and AwardWallet shared terms from that August promotion. We list them here only as background, since this round's terms could differ:\n\n* Bonus miles did not count as Status Miles toward elite status.\n* The deadline was set in Türkiye time, which is UTC+3. That is eight hours ahead of US Eastern time in late November.\n* Cards such as Citi Strata Premier and Citi Strata Elite transferred at 1:1. Cards with a lower transfer rate, such as Double Cash and Custom Cash, earned a smaller total.\n\nIf this round works the same way, transfer well before the night of Nov. 30 to be safe.\n\n## Where Turkish miles shine\n\nUpgraded Points points to a few sweet spots in Miles\\&Smiles:\n\n* **United Polaris business class across the US:** 22,500 miles each way on premium transcontinental routes involving Los Angeles, Newark, New York JFK or San Francisco. With the bonus, that is about 16,100 ThankYou points.\n* **Hawaii:** 25,000 miles each way in economy or 40,000 in business from other parts of the US.\n* **Turkish Airlines business class**, including on its Boeing 787-9.\n\nIn its August coverage, One Mile at a Time listed business class between the US and Istanbul at 65,000 miles one way. Confirm the seat before you move any points.\n* **Mind the cap.** Transfers past 125,000 points earn no more bonus miles.\n* **Expect a wait.** The bonus does not post right away.\n* **Transfers are final.** Points you send to Miles\\&Smiles can't come back to Citi.\n\n## The Points Frog take\n\nA 40% bonus makes Turkish miles very cheap to earn from Citi. United Polaris across the country for about 16,100 ThankYou points is a standout deal if you can find the space.\n\nThe catch is that this bonus is not on an official page we could check, and the miles land later.
