A limited-time bonus pays 30% extra on transfers into Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, so 1,000 Capital One miles become 1,300 Virgin Points.\n\nThe offer runs through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 20, 2026. Capital One shows the bonus in the transfer flow for eligible accounts. Virgin's Capital One partner pages confirm that miles move into Virgin Points, which you can use for Virgin Atlantic Flying Club awards once your accounts are linked. Confirm the 30% line appears in your own Capital One account before you send anything.\n\n## How the bonus math works\n\nAt the normal 1:1 rate, 1,000 Capital One miles become 1,000 Virgin Points. With the 30% bonus, the same transfer yields 1,300 points. A few clean examples:\n\n* 10,000 Capital One miles become 13,000 Virgin Points.\n* 25,000 Capital One miles become 32,500 Virgin Points.\n* 50,000 Capital One miles become 65,000 Virgin Points.\n\nTo work backward from an award, divide the Virgin Points you need by 1.3. A 29,000-point Upper Class award needs about 22,400 Capital One miles instead of 29,000. That saves roughly 6,600 miles, or about 23% of the miles you would have moved at the normal rate.\n\nCapital One requires a minimum transfer of 1,000 miles. After that, transfers can move in steps of 100 miles, which helps when you only need a top-up. Transfers to Virgin are usually instant. Once the points leave Capital One, they follow Virgin Red and Flying Club rules and cannot come back.\n\n## When the bonus is worth using\n\nThe bonus is useful if you already see a Flying Club award you want to book. Virgin Atlantic prices some US-to-UK economy awards from about 6,000 points and Upper Class from about 29,000 points, though taxes and carrier charges on those tickets can be high. Partner awards on Delta short hops and ANA flights to Japan are other common uses, but some partner bookings require a call and confirmed space first.\n\nSearch the award in your Flying Club account, or confirm partner space another way, before you transfer. Then move only the miles you need, rounded up to the next 100-mile step, and book right away. Award seats can disappear while points are in transit, even when most Capital One-to-Virgin moves post quickly.\n\nDo not transfer just because a bonus exists. Our [Capital One miles](https://www.pointsfrog.com/points-value/capital-one-miles) estimate is 1.8 cents each, and our [Flying Club](https://www.pointsfrog.com/points-value/flying-club) estimate is 1.4 cents. A 30% boost helps close that gap on the right award, but a weak redemption can still waste miles. If you have no trip planned, Capital One miles keep more partner options open where they are.\n\n## How this compares with other live bonuses\n\nCapital One is also running a 20% bonus to British Airways Avios through October 31, which we covered separately. That offer ends sooner and goes to a different program. Amex, Citi and Rove have their own October transfer bonuses as well. Match the bonus to the airline you can actually book, not to the biggest percentage on a list.\n\n## My take\n\nI would use this only for an award I can hold or book today. Thirty percent is a real cut in the miles you need, but Virgin's cash surcharges can erase the gain on some London flights. Price the full award, including taxes, then transfer once.\n\n## Related reading\n\n* [Capital One miles get a 20% bonus to British Airways Avios through October 31](https://www.pointsfrog.com/news/capital-one-miles-british-airways-avios-20-percent-bonus-october-2026)\n* [Capital One transfer ratios: compare miles received with points spent](https://www.pointsfrog.com/news/capital-one-transfer-ratios-compare-miles-received-with-points-spent)\n* [Capital One miles value](https://www.pointsfrog.com/points-value/capital-one-miles)","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
