The sale also raises how many points members without elite status can buy this year.\n\nThe offer is targeted, so the bonus you see may be lower. At the top 110% tier, points cost about 1.79 cents each, according to [AwardWallet](https://awardwallet.com/airlines/alaska-atmos-rewards/buy-alaska-miles/) and [The Travel Signal](https://thetravelsignal.com/s/alaska-airlines-buy-miles-up-to-110-bonus-increased-limit-until-november-7-2026).\n\n## The key terms\n\nAlaska's own sale page loads as an app and could not be read for this story. The terms below come from [LoyaltyLobby](https://loyaltylobby.com/2026/10/27/alaska-airlines-buy-miles-up-to-110-bonus-increased-limit-until-november-7-2026/), The Travel Signal and AwardWallet, which all report the same core details.\n\n* **Dates:** Purchases must be made from 6 a.m. Pacific on Oct. 27 through 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Nov. 7, 2026.\n* **Base price:** $35 per 1,000 points, plus a 7.5% federal excise tax.\n* **Top bonus:** 110%, which works out to about 1.79 cents per point.\n* **Per purchase limit:** 100,000 points per transaction, before the bonus.\n* **Status:** Bought points do not count toward elite status, and they can't be refunded.\n\n## The bonus tiers\n\nAwardWallet says some of its team members see a 110% offer. Their tiers look like this:\n\n* 1,000 to 4,000 points: no bonus, about 3.76 cents each.\n* 5,000 to 14,000 points: 90% bonus, about 1.98 cents each.\n* 15,000 to 29,000 points: 100% bonus, about 1.88 cents each.\n* 30,000 to 100,000 points: 110% bonus, about 1.79 cents each.\n\nThresholds vary by member, AwardWallet says. Log in and check your own offer before you do any math.\n\nHere is what the top tier looks like in dollars. Buying 100,000 points costs $3,500, plus $262.50 in tax, for $3,762.50. With a 110% bonus, you get 210,000 points. That is about 1.79 cents per point.\n\n## A higher limit for non-elites\n\nThe other change is the yearly cap. Members without elite status can normally buy or receive up to 150,000 points a year. During the sale, that cap rises to 250,000 points, AwardWallet and The Travel Signal report. Bonus points don't count toward the cap.\n\nMembers with Silver, Gold, Platinum or Titanium status have no yearly limit, per AwardWallet.\n\nPoints come through Points.com, which handles the sale for Alaska. AwardWallet says its users' data shows purchases post in about 16 hours on average.\n\n## Is it worth it?\n\nBuying points only makes sense when you have a specific award in mind. Atmos Rewards points can book partner flights on airlines such as Japan Airlines, Fiji Airways and American Airlines, AwardWallet notes. Those premium cabin awards are where the points tend to go furthest.\n\nAwardWallet puts the average value its users get from Atmos Rewards points at 2.34 cents each. At 1.79 cents, the sale price is below that. But an average is not your trip. If you would mainly use the points for short economy flights, you may get much less than 1.79 cents in value.\n\nThe Travel Signal's advice is to buy only when your personal bonus is 100% or higher, and to finish before Nov. 7.\n\nA few steps help:\n\n* Find the award seat first and price it in points.\n* Buy only the points you need, plus a small cushion.\n* Check that your bonus tier is worth it before you pay.\n* Remember the points can't be refunded if plans change.\n\n## Not the first time\n\nAlaska runs points sales often. AwardWallet's table of past sales goes back to 2016 and shows bonuses from 20% to 110%, including an earlier 110% offer in October 2025. If you don't have a use for the points now, another sale is likely to come along.\n\n## What people are saying on X\n\nLoyaltyLobby flagged the sale and the higher limit on X on Oct. 27.\n\n<https://x.com/LoyaltyLobby/status/2115134592747192518>\n\nPrince of Travel also shared the 1.79-cent price point.\n\n<https://x.com/princeoftravel/status/2115459186116956398>\n\n## Sources\n\n* [AwardWallet: Buy Alaska Atmos Rewards points](https://awardwallet.com/airlines/alaska-atmos-rewards/buy-alaska-miles/)\n* [The Travel Signal: Alaska Airlines buy miles up to 110% bonus, increased limit until November 7, 2026](https://thetravelsignal.com/s/alaska-airlines-buy-miles-up-to-110-bonus-increased-limit-until-november-7-2026)\n* [LoyaltyLobby: Alaska Airlines buy miles up to 110% bonus, increased limit until November 7, 2026](https://loyaltylobby.com/2026/10/27/alaska-airlines-buy-miles-up-to-110-bonus-increased-limit-until-november-7-2026/)","textStyle":"body","layout":"text"}]}
